A short documentary film depicting the creative journey of musicians preparing for a performance in the April 2024 Edinburgh International Harp Festival. Featuring Rhona Smith, Stephanie Humphreys and Ali Gillies and the Festival Harp Orchestra. This is a Drake Music Scotland project, supported by the Tasgadh fund (Creative Scotland).

This short documentary follows Drake Music Scotland Associate Musicians Abi Sinar and Francis Moore-Colyer throughout a year of delivering music education.
In the film you will see fantastic examples of some of the ways we make music with young people. From the alternative notation system, Figurenotes which is built into the iPad app ThumbJam as well as Soundbeam and many more.
This project was funded through Aberdeenshire Council from Creative Scotland's Youth Music Initiative.

Film Our Gardens
2023 Community Workshops

Working with community gardens along the River Tweed to create soundscapes inspired by their gardens.
From Connecting Threads: n 2023, Connecting Threads collaborated with artist Jules Bradbury and sound recordist Tom Swift as well as five community gardens and garden volunteers to creatively document the sights and sounds of each garden.
Inspired by the idea of sharing and sowing seeds of inspiration and knowledge, we collectively produced five short films using mini iPads and contact microphones with the plants, soil and biodiversity of each garden filmed by those who care and nurture them. In October, the resulting short films were screened in the solar-powered Moving Images Cinema caravan at celebratory events in each garden.

In this short film, musicians Rachel Drury, Esther Swift and Simone Seales explore how different cultures imagine our collective global future with participants from Rwanda, Gaza and Iraq. Connected through online portals during COP26, the participants explore their environmental fears and hopes through music and discussions.
Produced in partnership with the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, this film is part of Chamber Music Scotland’s long-running Coorie Doon project.

Live Borders Strategy

A corporate branding video complementing the launch of Live Borders new strategy showing the many strands of the organisation. Working closely with the Live Borers marketing team we filmed across the region to encompass the wide range of services that Live Borders encompasses.
When the new strategy launched in October 2018, the film was shared with all stakeholders. The live launch of the new strategy was also recorded and edited to document the event.
